Chief of Staff

As our Chief of Staff, you will have your hand in every corner of our business, with a specific focus on people operations and serving as the confidant and force-multiplier of the CEO, amplifying their efforts as we continue to scale. You will serve as the "connective tissue" between the leadership team and the rest of the organization, helping to connect the dots between people, functions, and projects. 

  • Serve as “right-hand” to the CEO regarding critical challenges and opportunities (e.g. company climate, employee well-being, contracts and legal documents)
  • Develop trusting relationships across employee population and leadership team to drive efficiency, productivity, and happiness
  • Drive internal communications efforts and arrange internal meetings
  • Own the talent acquisition funnel, from working with hiring managers to define JDs and plan for team growth, to developing candidate evaluation process and managing ATS, to coordinating offer details
  • Strategize, document, and manage a consistent onboarding process for new employees, serving as potential and new hires’ first point of contact
  • Manage and run HR processes such as employee payroll, total rewards and perks programming (including 401K), promotion cycles and comp benefits
  • Own people management processes: develop employee engagement and retention programs, and refine the performance review process
  • Advise and coach managers on how to best support employees developing their career path
  • Serve as first point of contact for employees with concerns or seeking guidance
  • Keep the office afloat (order snacks, organize offsite and outings, help arrange travel, unjam the proverbial printer) 


  • Relevant experience in an HR or People Operations role
  • Proven communication skills for influencing and inspiring stakeholders
  • A track-record of executive-level advising and cross-functional collaboration  
  • Organization is your superpower
  • Experience problem-solving

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience as Chief of Staff, Recruiter, or Head of HR 
  • Experience implementing an ATS
  • Experience running payroll 
  • Experience at a startup (<15 employees)
